Maharaja Indisches Restaurant in Lohne (Oldenburg)

Have tried different dishes. All of them were delicious. The portion size is okay too. The spiciness of the food is not to be underestimated.

The food is not bad, the service, unfortunately, could be improved. We waited about 30 minutes for the food. When we wanted to pay we had to loudly ask for attention 5 times because the cell phone was more interesting. We asked for the leftovers to be packed up before they were thrown away. This was confirmed with a nod, but the leftovers were not given (only an additional take-away dish, which had been ordered in advance). At € 34 for two dishes, incredibly poor service and not adequate.

Very tasty, very good advice. Buffet also very recommendable. Extra hot cooking is available on request. The rooms are lala. Something better than a takeaway, but definitely not a restaurant setting. Partly old and shabby, dusty art. Flowers. Toilet bucket has to be opened by hand and is full ... The absolute minus point is the music that is MUCH TOO LOUD. You can hardly talk. If the ice crusher is still running at the same time, you just want to leave. Too many flies. Outside area not appealing.

The store used to be a disaster and I didn't really want to come back until a friend talked me into it. Now I come almost regularly. Super shop, super delicious food and really friendly staff. I wouldn't have thought it possible but the team did it.

Waited forever, € 3.50 for a still water. Eat good.

I'm rarely in Lohne, but had a nice evening with great, exotic taste experiences and a friendly and attentive staff. Thank you for your recommendations, the warm hospitality. We would love to come back!

We were eating here during our vacation and were very satisfied. The service staff were extremely friendly and the food was excellent, tasty, visually and qualitatively really top. A very clear recommendation.

Since one does not know the dishes and actually ordered a shrimp dish, the owner was mentioned: His reason was that he no longer had shrimp and told the cook to just take redfish - he informed the customer later because " Fish or shrimp, it does not matter ". The icing on the cake was that you had to pay for it, because you supposedly had already eaten 3/4 after 2.5 spoons. The plate was still full. Only after a long discussion, he took it from the bill. Had you said nothing, probably even shrimp would have been calculated. Impudence .... blame the customer, although aware of what is wrong wrong served. This borders on malicious deception. You inform the customer in advance and not after a consultation. Addendum to the comment of the owner: You MUST NOT simply prepare for me an unsolicited court without consultation and then also say, you have eaten something of it and you should have complained immediately. I mixed up a part of the food with my rice and therefore I could not see what I was eating. Do you do that with other customers? Just deliver pork, because there is no chicken? Is both meat! Especially in the sauce barely distinguishable. With this you can make the offense of deception punishable. Just accept the criticism - I first tried to speak politely to you. Only when you insisted on paying and did not even apologize for your intention did I tell you that you are welcome to call the police to sort it out. Only after that did you take it from the bill.

The food was very tasty. But also pretty sharp. The ambience is a bit getting old and the terrace should be a little tidier, the fence renewed and the parking lot improved. Otherwise it is really good and the operators very nice.

The Maharaja is a small cozy restaurant. I went there on Sunday and decided to go to the buffet. So I had the opportunity to try the different dishes. Overall, the food was delicious. The service was also very good and attentive. If you have not tried Indian food and maybe have a problem with spicy food, the buffet should be explained by the service. Overall, very nice and communicative staff.

Delicious and freshly prepared food with just the right spiciness. As far as we can tell, the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. To the really good food comes the friendly atmosphere and the nice and attentive service. We will be back. Thank you for the nice stay.

Food top, service very friendly. You feel very comfortable here and you are welcome, the buffet is explained and what you eat and combine best. About the atmosphere, it could be better, it is very simple, but you feel very well. For this I give 5 Strene and am looking forward to the next culinary journey through India. I will definitely come back.

A very special experience. While the view from the outside was initially unimpressive, the decor is stylish and super clean. The buffet was small but incredibly tasty. Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness of the owner. After the buffet was explained, he asked if vegetarians are among us. He explained to my girlfriend in detail what she can eat and how to combine it best. He even prepared extra surprises from the kitchen! Definitely an insider tip!

My second visit to the buffet. Small but tasty. The food was unknown to me, but really good. You should like spicy. In any case, you have to try the dessert, better still twice if there is still room for it ;-)

Since there is no any other Indian restaurant around it's ok ....
